Hi
I replace the timing belt in my 2001 LC 4.2l diesel at 147, 000. But as soon as the speedo clicked over 150,000 the timing belt light came on.
Anyone know how to turn it off without going to Toyota dealers?
Many Thanks...........Cheers...

Yep!
Its a a zillion dollar exercise that only a trained technician can do by using a tool that cost many thousand hours and dollars in R & D, along with a technology that can only be described as Revolutionary, Inovative and Exciting.
Thats what the experts would have you believe anyway. (ROFLMAO)
By the way I am only refering to the 'turning the light off' thing, not the changing of the belt.
Just follow the advice in the nominated previous post/s and all should be OK.

Phil,
Thank you very much for your help. I had asked my mechanic and he told me Toyota were the only people that could change it....but there you go......I never thought I could do it, but the light has now gone off..
Thanks again...........Cheers..........

If you want a copy to give to your mechanic just let me know and I can fax him a copy.
