Thanks for responses re 4Runner

What a great Forum!!!

Thanks to all those (incl OziExplorer, Graham, Bruce, & Truckster) who responded to my posting about my underpowered 4 Runner.

I will certainly follow-up on possible exhaust system problems / mods in the new year, and let you know what eventuates.

I'll leave the purchase of a new vehicle until the wife and myself can assess just how much use we can get out of the 4Runner. What with fires in NSW and more and more NPWS gates, we'll have to see how much genuine need we have for a genuine 4x4.

My original posting didn't explain that the truck was a work vehicle, that I've owned for 2 years. Now that I'm semi-retired, it's become "private" vehicle number two!

Vehicle number 1 is a Statesman VS III, so depending upon retirement vehicle requirements, we'll likely trade both next year. To purchase what - we we don't yet know, but we do know that we won't be keeping both!
