G'day Geoff,
We were there the first week in August and Didnt have any problems with weed. The Fishing wasnt bad either with good catches of Tailor about 5Km's north of Dundaburra. We also got some nice Dart about 1Km south of
Indian Head just on dusk.
All in all we had a really good week and I got to try out our new Trackabout CT!!
Have a good one.
Chris.

Off topic - How did you find your Trackabout expecially towing on the soft sand. We've taken ours to Fraser once and Moreton once.
With regards to the weed at Frazer, I hope you get a good trip with no weed. We have had it bad the last two trips in September 2004 and 2003. And when it is there it is really bad. The smell, the staining on your hands when you fish and the amount of line you end up cutting off in frustration when you couldnt pull the weed off by hand. Still we were able to catch fish.
We have been going to Frazer once a year for the last 17 years and they are the only two times we have seen it.
If there is weed about dont drive on it when in thick patches on
the beach as it makes the sand quicksand. The number of people totally bogged was unbeleivable. We even saw a Kingfisher bus in the ocean becuase it hit a patch of weed.

Gday Robin,
The Trackabout went
well once I let the trailer tyres down a bit.
Its got split rims on it at the moment and they were pretty hard at first at around 45Psi. I let them down to about 25 and this made all the difference. The Patrol tyres were around 22.
Really Happy with it so far though from what I have done.
The next project is to build a kitchen for it.
Cheers
Chris

Have had a mate come back a couple of days ago after spending three weeks up there... didn't comment on the weed but caught a swag full! He was camped Just north of Waddy and was fishing a gutter in front of Orchid Beech Resort. Cheers.
