Hi travellers.
Did the search thingy and found no reference to the coorong.
Wondering what it is like in mid January for
camping, are there many
places to see?
how long should we stay? What's the fishing like?
Thanks in advance,
NickR

It's on the coast, therefore, afternoon sea breeze.
lovely during daytime.
Good fishing from the beach/ocean side. Try for mulloway, shark, salmon, flathead, snapper. Be prepared to be spooled by sharks or rays. Cocles are a delicacy for some. Many also use them for bait.
Can get a bit sandblasted either fishing or
camping, however, so some shelter needed. Many different types of campgrounds exist. Caravans, tents, on
the beach, behind the diunes, inland, Try NWPS sites
Not serious 4wd territory, but you need it jsut the same.
Plenty to see? - you betcha. And travel a bit over to
Naracoorte, down to the verdant lower South East, down to
Kingston, Cape Jaffa &
Robe. Looking at the ocean & sandhills for a week may be tediuos when a whole other world awaits you.
Enjoy.
