Thinking of fitting aerial to metal bracket fixed to fibreglass conoby.
Will this be ok or will it have to be earthed. If so will a eatrh wire from bracket to point an car be ok .Do not want to drill holes in car and can not afford bull bar.Thanking you.

johno - why not fit a ground independant aerial to a Z bracket at the bonnet on the passenger front quarter panel. Surely this will be more practical than attaching to the canopy. Moggs

johno - in the past have had gutter mount and bonnet mount - personal preference is bonnet - I like to be able to see what my aerial whip is hitting and how hard it is doing it. It is very easy to forget its there when whacking through the bush sight unseen. In addition, you don't have to worry about cabling through the door rubber and the associated deformation of the door seal if mounted uner the bonnet. Moggs
