Hi All,
Being new to this site, I'm glad I have found some other Frontera owners! I own a 2000 model 2.2ltr sport Frontera. Does anyone know what the alternator output is? I have just bought a nudge bar and am currently in the process of choosing some spotlights. Will a pair of 100watt spotties be ok?
Cheers
Michael

Hi Fronty & welcome. I have 2000 3.2 wagon running 2 x 100 watt hellas without any worries. Don't see why you would have problems.
Have you put a lift under your fronteria?

Hi Vince,
Thanks for the fast reply. Wow what a great site.
I imagined that the alternator would/should be up to the task of powering tht 2 100watt spotties. It's not mentioned anywhere readily visibible on the rear of the regulator or in the showroom brochure. So thanks for that.

Nah, I don't have a lift kit yet, but I am seriously considering one. I have only had mine for 6 months, but have already found that the fuel tank and rear muffler does reduce ground clearance somewhat. I use mine for sand/beach driving on the Coorong in SA, and it the tanks & muffler has caused some grief - especially with the tyres deflated aswell!

I picked up my nudge bar yesterday and decided to save some money and try and install it myself. But I'm not sure where it bolts onto!!?? It has horizontal mounting plates!! I thought that the nudge-bar bolting plates would be vertical, so they can bolt onto the 2 diagonal holes on the front tow eyes. Any ideas?

Thanks for you response already.

Regards,

You may find that a bit of heavy angle, cut to shape and drilled to suit holes in chassis will be needed. If you have airbags then it MUST be fitted by someone authorised.
