Saw that myself. It doesn't start till Thursday though & last time they had a great sale, I rushed down there and was told they weren't able to get any at their branch. I rang around several other branches and they all told me the same story. Should certainly get you in for look though at those prices. Not that I'm suggesting its just a ruse to get you in..... surely that wouldn't be cricket?

Autobarn use similar ploys to get you in the store. Repco has another one a few weeks ago, fairly good sockets sets, sorry none here, none sent from head office.

Having worked in retail for 18 years I have always wondered how these companies, with large distribution networks, manage to have a sale but when you go to buy the gear they don't have it for one reason or another. This happened to me once, and the excuse given was " the warehouse didn't send any".
Well stuff me!!!! If I was the manager of a retail chain, I would make damn sure that what is advertised is on the shelf, or...sorry sir, give us your phone number and I'll put one aside for you and give you a call when it comes in. We'll hold it for three days, after that, it goes back on the shelf. OR.....If you pay for it now, we'll hold it till you come in.
If you go to Repco and they don't have any of these HUGELY discounted items, ask them to check on the computer for a store which does. If they cannot give you this information, I would say that this IS infact a ploy to get you in the door and the PENALTY for a company employing this tactic is HUGE........

Huge profit margin or crap! i bet the latter
it will most likely be a 'misprint' if they do have any for sale...
