I am thinking about putting the nissan on gas with the price of fuel etc, but I am only really interested in doing this if I can fit the gas
tank under the car. Does anyone kniow if this can be done and how much it should roughly cost to convert the nissan to gas?
Cheers!

I am assuming that you are talking about running it solely on gas witch can’t be done as the 2.8 is a diesel engine and is missing the necessary component’s to ignite the gas air mixture. However you can run a gas and diesel mixture witch is meant to give better power and fuel economy but then you need to pay for 2 loads of fuel so kind of defeats the purpose.
Diesel engines ignite the fuel air mixture by use of compression and the heat caused by compressing the air so when the diesel oil is injected just before top dead centre the compression and heat of the compressed air ignites the diesel oil so as a result diesel are missing all the electrical component’s that are on a petrol engine.

MQ/MK 2.8??
If so can fit
tank where spare wheel is, will need to relocate spare wheel to back tailgate, same as they do with 'cruisers
Hope this helps

well depending on which petrol motor you wish to put in there to replace the diesel engine, most engine conversions are $10k...
Then around $3k for LPG conversion too.
