Heard about these torches that other day. It seems that you wind a handle for 1 minute and you get 30 minutes of light. Also advertised is that they can charge a mobile phone through a cigarette lighter fitting and your car charger.
Anyone out there have any info on these.
I believe that they were around the $38 - 40 mark.
Cheers

Ray,
I was playing with one in Bunnings yesterday. $20.
It has 3 LED lights. It can operate on 1 or all 3. Easy enough to wind.
This one didn't have any mention of mobile phone charging.
Cheers,
Jim.

Yes it seems that the 'rototorch' has 5 LED lights as
well as the mobile phone connection. Also wondering what the 'lighting' performance is like??
Cheers

I have one, it has 5 LED's, wind it for a minute and you get 10min of full light and then it looses its intensity for the next 15-20mins. It is good but obviously not as good as a dolphin etc. We use it finding stuff in the back of the car or in the tent. Reading in the tent is good because if you nod off you can charge it in the morning. Kids can play with it and you don't have to worry about batteries and it keeps them busy. I haven't charged a phone yet but from what I have heard it is slow but it will get you out of a bind. It only works on nokia.
