We have just finalised a modification to the Trader System that will hopefully reduce the scam emails. The modification changes the email enquiry system to force people to be registered on ExplorOz to send email enquiries. In the past you did not have to be registered to use the send enquiry and we believe that this was the main reason there was a significant number of scam emails being entered.

We hope this update will not effect the level of enquiries however it is hoped that persons that are really interested in buying or selling a product will make the effort. Of course this does not effect the ability to use the telephone numbers listed within the ads.

If you are an existing visitor, member or advertiser then this change will not effect you at all.

Hi David
Thanks for that improvement. Also as this was my first time of putting a trader ad in I was very impressed with the ease of set up the ad and the great result that it gives when viewed.

Thanks David - if the new visitors know why such factors have to be in place, they'll respect the strategy I'm sure - internet vermin are everywhere !

Good one David.

I have received my fair share of scammers during my last advert in the Trader

Hopefully this will put a stop to it
