got a question re lockup switch gu patrol (post 23246).i'm buying the gear for your circuit diagram, is the relay a narva 68028??. also what does the foot switch actually do and is it essential to the system.

I'm sorry I can't remember the part number for the relays, but I used the ones with suppression resistors across the coils and they need open and closed contacts. The little diagram on the side of the relay shows if they have normally open and normally closed contacts. I'm sure the salesman should be able to help you there because he will have the catalogue.
The foot switch is used to turn it on while driving, leaving your left hand free to use the shifter. I only switch the dash switch off when I take it in for a service, so if the mechanic drives it and presses the foot switch, it won’t work. To switch it off, you just have to touch the brake pedal.
This system works
