Hi all,
Another update just completed was to fix the feed issues with the fuel prices system. I have now done this and added around 750 locations to the system. These will be updated daily. There are still a few changes I want to add to the system and these will come in time however just to let you know that the issue with the data feed has ben sorted and the data is now back. See National Fuel Prices.

Thanks David.
Was looking a little sad for the last few months without the regular feed.
Well done.
Even around
Brisbane the price changes a bit.
Good to see though that Qld still hasn't got a state fuel tax like other states, and it saves us 8c/litre :-)

Thanks David, we have been checking regularly to work out a rough budget for our trip in the next couple of weeks. Now we can work out the best
places to fill up as
well.

David,
Does that mean I don't have to bother updating the Kadina (SA) one myself anymore? Where do you source your info from? I have been doing the kadina updates for a couple of months whilst the lady who normally does it has been away in WA on holidays.
Cheers
Roachie

Roachie,
You will be best to keep updating any specific
places manually. The only data currently available is Shell. if it is a Shell then you do not need to worry however anything else is not automated at this stage. We are open to speaking to fuel providers to build auto update processes however at this stage we only source Shell.
I am also wanting to enhance the functionality somewhat and correct a problem with the ability to add multiple brands in the same town/suburb. At present there can only be one in a suburb with the same suburb location name, thus at the moment if there is an auto update for Kadina - Shell it will overwrite anything else with the location of Kadina - So if there is two the best at the moment would be to describe a second location would be to use 'Kadina - SAFF' or similar in the location field. I will be addressing this very soon however not today.

David,
For now why not use Kadina1, Kadina2, Kadina3 etc for place names?
Assume that would work and your sort function on the place names should still work OK?
I think every one would know what you mean.
Can't let this software beat you!

Great site David,
I will keep that one n my favs.
Has anyone ever contemplated doing a graph of retail prices and oil barrel prices on the same scale. I wonder if they go up and down at the same time or not. Also a check on prices in say Malaya, England, and the US would be quite enlightening.
The figures must be available somewhere.

Great service thanks David.
I heard on the news tonight that other states are considering similar to WA Fuel Watch. It's been reported that the Fuel Watch hasn't really improved our fuel prices compared to other states, but it is so good when travelling to check out best
places to buy fuel, and see some pretty big price differences.
