Transmission Breathers

Where are the gear box and transfer case air breathers on a 60 series cruiser? I have felt around the top and can't locate them. Surely they do have them and if so, want to fit extended air breathers to them. Help please.

Ron, From memory there should be one right on top, between T/case and g'box. Is about dead centre when looking from rear. Sometimes hard to find if there's some mud build up there. Feel you would have to drop the rear g'box mount to gain reasonable access when fitting extended breather. Regards...

I was actually going to ask the same question as Ron about my own FJ62. Is there just the one common breather for the gearbox/transfer case?

Plexus, Checked the workshop manual, and can only see one, in the position I described above. can't ever remember a 2nd one. Regards...
