Hi,
Wow, what a great set of responses to my question (Post ID : 262458) on the must sees in Broken Hill !

My wife and I went through each of the responses and we have put together our list and a tentative plan of what we want to see and do each day.

One more Question though,

1) We are planning to be in Broken Hill the week after next (19-23 ish), so what temperatures can we expect during the day and overnight ?

Thank-you very much for your responses so far.

Cheers,
Mal

This time of year in Broken Hill is a bit hard to predict.

Today it is 30 C and humid with moderate NW winds. I am actually thinking or servicing the air cooler and kicking it into gear. It's probably a bit early for that, if the wind goes to the south it will get cooler quite rapidly.

They are forcasting the possibility of thunderstorms tonight and early tomorrow. That would be nice.

It would be reasonable to expect temps overnight in the mid teens say 13 - 17 and daytime it could be 20 - 30 ish. But like I say if the wind goes tot he south it could be a fair bit cooler than that.

If you like truck noise at night you will love this caravan park! Then again nearly all the caravan parks are on main roads. Sparky

G'Day Mal,

On the day we left, 18/8, I bought a paper in a local newsagent who happened to be talking with what I assume was a regular customer.

They were already talking aobut the end to the cooler weather and the hot weather to come. It was 28 on the day we left

Of course this would depend on the weather forecast at the time but you could expect +30 during the day if fine.

One other thing I forgot to mention, unless you are really into the RFDS base I would spend my time elsewhere, or just drop in to give a quick donation.

Hope this helps

Rolande
