Hi Guys

I heard a guy on the radio this morning talking about LPG installations and he mentioned that there are tanks which fit into the spare wheel well in a car's boot. This surely means that there could be one to fit under the Cruiser and still keep both petrol tanks.

Does anyone have such an installation or have you seen one?
Mike

Of the ones I have come across, the ones made to fit in spare wheel locations are 3 small tanks joined together making a square shape a little larger than the spare. I understand the lc80s generally ditch the 2nd tank in a gas install so you can get a larger gas tank in the space.

The one's you're referiing to are called "manifold tanks"

They now make ones called "doughnut tanks"

We have one fitted in our XTRAIL

Penguin try Riverstone LP Gas Centre.
I don't have the phone number here at home but they did one of my customers 100series Landcruisers and put 2 long skinny tanks down either side between the side step and chassis rail. He kept both tanks. Very good job and very neat.
I haven't dealt with them direct but quite a few of my customers have and the feedback has been nothing but praise.

Thanks a lot people. I really like the idea of the side tanks. Might explore that.
