Repco put a AD in todays paper ( WA ) apologising quote
The sizzling sound sellout features great prices. the response by customers has been overwhelming and unfortunatly we ars already sold out of a number of the limited stock items. We apologise to all of our customers for any inconvenience this has caused.
It says the sale is still on until the 25 Sept, wonder what they have left.
cheers brian

I wonder though if it would save them if a few who were misled actually phoned the ACCC about bait advertising? Get to it guys and gals, I don't like what they appear to have done.

What stock did they actually start with I think is the pertinent question and how many more customers will be questioning their adverts in the future??

Yeh I agree - went to woolies today and all the bread they had on special was sold out ...wont be going there again - what’s the world coming to - its discrimination - those who get there first always get the bargains - what about us slow, whining p ricks!!

I. like many here and on numerous other 4WD forums complained bitterly direct to Repco's "contactus" email addres.

Has ANYONE heard anything back from them that even REMOTELY sounds like a proper apology?

Hi Chrispy
I got an call on friday arvo, thanking me for complaining. hahaha I had to correct the person calling, saying i am sorry, i thgink you are mistakan, i did not complain, i merely inquired where i would find one of these bargins as i rang all repco stores in vic and none of them had any. he assured me that there were plenty for sale, i said i doubted him, silence, well anyway we would like to give you a repco voucher for your feed back.

cheers

Crazie

I contacted ACCC. they said with the info i gave them it was enough to investigate them for bait advertising, and they would look into it!!

Looks like the Repco marketing director is going to have a major headache this week.

Great stuff - keep us all informed as what the ACC does.

Cheers

I was vising the local Repco shop on Friday arvo, they had very little left and where continuously taking calls from other Repco stores asking what they had left, they had a few speakers and some Soundz branded machines that looked real cheap before you discounted them. The Blaupunkt stuff was reasonably priced but only a couple of units were left.
I suppose that's better than the bloke who screams his bre@asts off trying to sell rug and carpets over the last two weekends on TV, drives me nut's.
Keep the shiny side up
