Hi ya all, Im wanting to get extractors/ new exhaust system on my 78series troopie, just wondering if anyone knows of a good exhaust shop in perth that does custom exhaust that do a good job and that wont cost me my life savings. Also what sort of money should i expect 2 pay for a system.

Depends what size and material, Mild steel or stainless, what sort of muffler, tube diameter and type of Extractors. Most likely looking at around $700 mark just for the exhaust in Mild Steel= 2½-inch pipe+ Hy-Flow muffler. Then add on the cost of your Extractors.

That is just a ballpark figure.

extractors around $400, IMHO are a waste of $... but its your coin.

and yea, depending on what sort of system you want for the rest, upto a grand.

Hi
I had a set of extractors and big exhaust/muffler fitted at a place called Quickfit in Balcatta all up just under $700 on my 100 series excellent service and I had to take it back as one of the mounts had moved but no trouble, the guy fitted two extra mounts and been fine since.

howdy Lost,Not sure about the 78s but Manta performance exhausts do a bolt in 2.5" system to fit 80s,it will bolt up to gennie headers total cost was about 700 if you do it yourself, definatly better performance and fuel economy on my 1Hz N/A.
may cost a bit more if you need head studs as they tend to un screw from the head with the nut siezed on.
cheers tony.
