The question of how big it needs to be is probably the most important also what do you want to do with it, where you want to go etc?
We sleep 5 in TrakShak very comfortably, it goes everywhere the car does and they have heaps of storage space. They are very solidly constructed so ashould be a safe buy second hand. Although they are a bit like hens teethon the second hand market.

We (Mum, Dad, 2 boys 3 & 7) to are in WA and have been looking for some time in the second hand market. Unfortunately there seems to be a very limited choice here in the West. We bit the bullet and have ordered a new "Out Back Deluxe". I did allot of research and after looking at all the campers on offer here in WA we felt they offered best quality, value for money and by far best service. As I said I have only ordered it however after talking to hire companies the camper seems to be very durable.
I am by no means attached to Out back just a happy customer ( so far)...
Good luck on your hunt..
Cheers,
Brad.
