Afternoon,

I'm checking out a 2003 Hilux V6 3.4L single cab chassis[50k on the clock]. Are there any issues with this unit I should look out for? What's the economy like around town?

TIA.....eng

Fit a Fitch is 3 words. Count them:

1. fit
2. a
3. fitch

So Bill, My Jackaroo is constistently getting 12.3-12.6L/100kms. Are you saying that fitting a Fitch will definitely get it under 12.0L/100kms? There is obviously nothing wrong with the vehicle, these figures are common to TD Jacks with bigger tyres and roofracks. But if it doesn't return better figures, will you be telling me it is because of a mechanical problem??? And are you willing to offer a guarantee that it will work excluding fitting?

FIT one word A one letter fitch the second WORD. The majoraty of diesels fitted are saving at least a litre of fuel for every 100klms driven for the next 400,000klms.
Into the bargain putting 70%less pollutants into engine oil and 50% less pollutants emitted from the exhaust
.My 80srs is returning8.7 to 9.6 kilometers per litre.Or as mentioned before by those using litres per 100klms mine equates to 8.7323 and 9.6421. i can answer questions about this product on this forum but not post anything.
And believe me members I do know just what I am saying about this product as I have fitted a thousand plus vehicles, all rescipients and users happy with it.
The only time a failure has been noted is when the fitted vehicle has a fault, fault rectified product working.

The V6 is ULP, not diesel....any performance figures for ULP? Had a look at the website, how is the unit fitted in the fueltank? [ as recommended for petrol vehicles]

Wok.I checked out your comments in regard to what is stated on the website, I do not necessarily recomend drop inns but rather the in line unit as it can be transfered if you change cars a few years down the track. Where as if you had dropinns installed it is unlikely you would remove the tank to retreive them. The wording on the webb will be amended shortly.

Hi Bill, or is it Dill. A is a word as well as a letter. You can use the letter a as a word in scrabble too. If you could use letters (that were not words) by themselves in sentences then a whole lot of sentences would not make sense. Do you understand.

Here is a sentence made of letters does it make sense to you????

Hi,

I have a 2002 3.4 V6 Dual Cab. When I first bought the vehicle running around on the HT pattern 255/70R15 tyres, I was getting between 12 and 13 l/100km, consistently. Towed a camper trailer with it from Melbourne to almost he SA border and back, and it got a consistent 14 - 15 l/100km, which is not bad in my books.

I have since fitted 31" tyres, which is an inch or so bigger than standard, and have noticed that the economy has jumped up to 14 l/100km unloaded.

I also have a set of 31" MTRs as wells as some ATs, and they suck more power and use more fuel again.

If you are happy to run the standard sized tyres (equilavent to 30x9.5x15) then they seem to be able to return in the 12 - 14 l/100km range, depending on loading and driving style. If you are going for bigger tyres or more agressive tread patterns, it will use a lot more juice. Hard slow off roading will also chew the juice. Worst I have had is about 30 l/100km, but that was extremely slow hard going, over a 200km section of the outback, and very heavily loaded. Normally with the 31" tyres I expect to use up to 20 l/100km offroad, maybe a couple of litres less per 100km. I never really did a lot of offroading on the 30" tyres, but the little bit I did, it did use less fuel.

I have found that the vehicle and gear ratios are well setup for the original size tyres, but it has suffered performance wise, and fuel economy wise with the only slightly bigger tyres. If I had to tow anything a lot, I would go back to the smaller tyres for ATs.

Thanks Andrew, I can work with those figures. Sounds like original tyre size is the way to go. The economy isn't much different from the current V6 4L.

Wok,

I have a 2004 V6 Extra cab (manual) with canopy, steel bullbar etc etc and over 18months and 38k have averaged 11.7l/100k. Most of that has been on sealed roads but around 7k on dirt, sand, and cross country stuff. I run the standard split rims and rubber. The worst figures were 16l/100k fully loaded for some parts of the track from Innamincka to Mt Dare.

HI WOK To answer two questions
1/ Yes this product works equally well with any fuel
2/ Yes this product has a complete guarantee for 90days and honered
3/ I am fitting up a 2004 v/6 pajero today I will have the owner post his report after he finds out just what it does{if he will I dont know who he is till I meet him}
Now I would like to thank those asking sensible question in relation to this product
which all can see is advertised on this forum.
I ask this question of forum members after fitting over 1,000 of these units why is it I have only had four negative reports????

HI Chris, F300 is the inline unit to fit yours at a cost of $510 plus fit or the option is dropinns at $300.
Had a call from a guy today who fitted a F300 to his v/8 landcruiser claims fuel usage has dropped two litres per 100klms driven. check out the website find a agent near you and go for it remember it is guaranteed for 90 days, you have NOTHING to risk, everthing to gain.Once again thankyou for a intelligent question.

Visit the Fitch Website!

Right down in the bottom right corner there is a weeny little title called "Legal Disclaimer"

Read the last sentence of paragraph six!

There you will find that the guarantee in fact guarantees that there IS NO GUARRANTEE with regards consumption or emissions.

Now if your prepared to take the plunge to try one of these suckers and then return it, your still up for the cost of fitting and removing.

If you have had to cut metal fuel lines to fit it would be a messy job to restore your fuel supply line.

Bear in mind also that there have beens claims that "it" can take up to three months to show results because it might have to clean out your fuel system first! - Theres 90 days out of your warranty

Now these damn things are supposed to work on all fuels - If so why are they not fitted to heavy vessels - marine architects go to great extremes designing hulls to pick up as little of half off one percent in fuel savings.

Sorry! But can,t we bury this damn thing for once and all

Bill,

Is that SUPPLY & FIT or is it SUPPLY ONLY?

Please, which part of my follow up did not have "resembalance of truth" (sic).?

Please advise where on the Fitch Website I can find reference to the 90 day warranty as I must not be looking in the right area.

HI IAN, Mate thanks for your enquirie this product is genuine it really saves the average motorist more than a litre of fuel for every 100klms driven.
If you are genuine with your enquirie email me on billfitch@1earth.net,and I will answer you with the truth.
It appears there are people on this forum who continuasly want to bag what they dont understand without justifaction,my remarks on this are brought about by the feed back I recieve from users of the product and of cource my own tests carried out over some four years on various machinery. It is only a matter of time when the crittics find out for themselves just what occurs after fitting that I expect appolagies will appear for their rude remarks.Mate lets have a chat without the interference of sceptics.
