Hi all
I am looking for any assistance in finding a good cheap 2 person rooftop tent.
Either second hand or seconds is fine, just cant seem to agree with parting $$$$ on new.
Josh
NOTE:I have also placed an ad in the trader section

" I am looking for any assistance in finding a quality built second hand and seconds, 2 person rooftop tent in good condition.
Just cant seem to agree with parting $$$$ on the new tent smell"

Josh - with EezyAwn now being up around $2,600 for the middle of the road size, you are going to be pushing up
hill. All except for the DingoDoza, ShippShape and one or two others they are made overseas (EezyAwn, Howling Moon & Hannibal - in South Africa) or Italy (Maggiolina), Rogue River Trading (USA).
I don't think you will ever find a "second" as such. No company is ever just going to spit one out and kick it to the side and think that they have to put "that one" in the seconds pile.
They are worth lots even second hand. I recently sold one of ours for almost as much as I paid for it new 4 years ago.
Saying all that - it looks like there's a DingoDoza or similar on ebay right now (new) starting off at $1,500 in QLD.

I bought our s/hand Shippshape from the trader section here on exploroz, they hold their value
well, budget around $2k at least for one around 4 y/o in good nick.
They are very
well made and I reckon one of the best designs as you have shelter when getting in and out when it is raining as
well as somewhere to sit out of the weather if the side walls are fitted. I'm very happy with ours, like you say though the new price is big ask if on a budget.

Hi. We are travelling through
Townsville at the moment and have bumped into an outfit that sells and hires camper trailers. He also mentioned he has a roof top tent for sale. Not sure on the make, model or age but wants around $1500.00. Can find out more if you wish. Ozzie Camper Trailers (Tim) 07 4779 0900.

Josh - I've decided to sell our EezyAwn Elite (1,400 wide) asap.
We don't use it enough, and we've decided to look at the Maggiolina or Columbus (nearly $3,500) instead.
Leeme know if you're still looking.
Cheers
Chris
