Have found the spec for the new Navara on the UK web site.

Looks like it is basically the old body with the new Pathfinder front suspension, engine, and transmissions.

It has the YD25 DDTi engine (which seems to have been around for a while in lower output form) which has some pretty impressive specs, 128kw @ 3000, 403Nm @ 2000, 33mpg or 7.2L/100k.

The fuel tank is 80L, double wishbone front with coil over strut, leaf rear, 5sp Auto or 6sp manual, 3000kg towing (2700kg in UK), 1070kg load, 235-70/16 Tyres, Disc/drum brakes, rack & pinion steering.

Does anyone know when this will be released in Aus? Anyone have any experience with the Pathfinder front end - it looked a trifle flimsy when I briefly saw it a few weeks ago.

It would be interesting to test drive the new ute when it arrives...

There was a comparison of the new nissan engine with similar sized vehicles:
HERE
You would think the 128kW / 403Nm engine would be quicker...

Check it out the latest 4x4 Australia mag. There is a write up of the new Navara in that. It sound very good....have a look at some of the options available in the U.S model....rear diff lock, sat nav, bilstein suspension and electronic stability control to name a few...
I'll look closely at it when it's released in November...
