I am currently planing a xmas trip with the Boss and boys (3 & 7). Option 1 is Perth to Kalgoorlie to Esperance to Hamelin Bay to Perth..
I will be driving a Territory towing an off road CT so no real off roading but dirt tracks and fire trails OK..
Could anyone suggest some top spots to see and or stay??

Wow! That's a big trip.

I don't like to spread the word around too much - cause too many people will find out - but if you can keep it secret - Hopetoun is worth spending a couple of days at.

Bremer Bay is also OK - but if you want red meat in your meals you better take it with you. They're so obsessed with fishing that they don't think anyone will eat anything other than fish.

Between Hopetoun and Bremer is the Fitzgerald River National Park which is worth a look. There may be a couple of tracks open which shouldn't be too challenging.

Maybe you could check out the mouth of the Waychinicup river at the base of Mount ManyPeaks. About 50 kms east of Albany - go down the road to Cheyne's Beach and there is a track near Cheyne's Beach that goes to the mouth of the Waychinicup. I suggest you stay at Cheyne's Beach itself (camping sites are there) and do a day trip to Waychnicup.

Further west of course is Albany. There is lots to see around there. (Two Peoples Bay etc).

Denmark to Walpole is all good. Don't forget the Treetop Walk near Walpole.

I'm sure you will get plenty of ideas from others...

Thanks they sound great...I'll add them to the itinerary for the Bosses approval.
We spent 10 days at Walpole last year and loved it so we wanted to go to the lesser-known spots down that part of the world this time.

Cheers,
Brad.

On the Way between Coolgardie and Esperance you can drive from Coolgardie to Burra rocks which has dams and camping then you can travel the woodline between burra rocks and cave hill which your territory will handle or (dammit!!) they have now built a road between the 2. There is now a road that goes from cave hill (dammit!!) to Widgiemooltha where you can carry on towards Esperance. South of Norseman is the turn off to Peak charles which is a very immpressive 80k round trip off the highway (dunnys and camping). As far as Esperance goes I go there sometimes to perv on chix otherwise I take the Scadden road to condingup and Access the brilliant South east beaches like poison creek and thomas river.
Othertimes I turn East at Norseman to Balladonia and take the track past the immpressive Mt ragged (your Territory will handle this track) and acces the far south coast beaches
