Taize
Hi,
In a couple of weeks time we're planning to visit the
flinders ranges in SA. At this stage we're going to do the usual
places -
Arkaroola, Wilpena.
I'd love to hear of other
places people recommend we visit.
Also, my in-laws are going to be travelling with us and they dont have a 4wd. I'm thinking of getting them to hire a 4wd from Pt
Augusta. Any recommendations of
places to hire a 4wd + camper.
regards
Kym

See you there Taize. Keep an eye out for the rig in the rig pic - Off road camper in tow not boat (obviously).
Will be watching this thread with interest.

Make sure you do the SKYTREK and/or CHASE RANGE SPECTACULAR. These self drive 4WD tours are both located on private station property near to
Wilpena Pound and will occupy a full day each. Check with the people at the Chalet for bookings. Cost is about $45 per car load. Parts of both will test your driving skills. The scenery is unsurpassed.
At
Arkaroola a trip to the radio active hotsprings is worthwhile. There are also self drive 4Wd tours in the area. The
Arkaroola Ridgetop Tour is a commercially driven thing that is good fun, but expensive.
