What a blast. Just got back from Cruiser Park, where the sweet sound of metal on rocks and whirring whinches was interupted by blasts of sweetly timed (and some not so sweet) V8's and some awesome throaty diesels trying (and sometimes suceeding) to climb some of the most insane terrain Cruiser Park has to offer.

After a great day Saturday and a few coldies around the camp fire that night I new I was going to sleep well (well away from the mob that would be tinkering with their trucks well into the night). Anyhow I was leading this event at about 3am Sunday morning when the chill of the cold night air woke me up, the fire had gone out and it was freezing, if only that last log I threw on before I went to bed had burned for another 3 hours I would have woken up with the winners cup in my grasp. lol. Seriously the competitors in this event should be given a huge pat on the back for putting on a great spectacle and showing just what is possible with a really heavy right foot and a really big pair of kahuna's (hope I can say that here).
Was totally blown away by the whole thing and will seriously try to get back there for the last day this Saturday. This time I'll remember the camera, it was one of many things I forgot to take including my clothes bag (don't ask me how but I did).

To all thinking about going, I say don't think just do it.

Cheers Trevor.

Davoe,

I suggest it probably forms part of their "advertising budget" in some cases but if not, all had major sponsors plastered all over their rigs so I wonder how much it really costs them ??
No doubt if you work out how much some people smoke and drink in a year this may come similar to what it costs to run in one of these events?? (problem being these guys probably do all of the above) haha.
Anyway it put a smile on my face and I wasn't paying the repair bills. With three rollovers (that I saw) in the first two days of this 8 day event, no doubt their will be some big repair bills to someone.

Cheers Trevor.

Thats why you go to see them isnt it? bit like the tightropewalker at the circus - you dont go to see him get to the other end, the entertainment comes if he falls!!:)
