Can any one give me any feedback on their dealings with www.fridgeshop.com?
I am in the market for an 80 to 110 Lt fridge and have noticed the www.fridgeshop.com have some top deals, I understand they are refurbished but I feel they look pretty good.

Got a 50ltr fridge from them, took a day or two to get delivered in melb. But was really happy with quality and everything. only paid $700 to have it delivered to my door. Saved a fair bit of money and haven't had a problem with it.

Cheers,

Seems they are ok as traders, from reports here - did see some comment somewhere that the 80/110 Waeco's on offer are superseded models - they have been troublesome re lids etc I believe. Unless $ are really tight, IF you are going to keep a fridge for the longer term, a new one with the 3/5 year warranty might be the cheapest investment in the end.

Ordered one of the 110s last year from them from East Timor over the internet for delivery to Darwin, It arrived on time, in good nick, it works (almost too well) got a free 30L "cooler" fridge and a free stubby cooler - AND I'm $500+ better off than if I had bought it from anywhere else.

Anyway, with the way I move around warranty isnt much use 100km from nowhere so I'm still in front. Can't argue with that.

Excellent service and support. Have purchased 3 things from them now, each of them was great (still have not managed to pick any faults), bar one- a small bar fridge. I let them know it had a broken latch, and they gave an immediate replacement. You cant go wrong with them for price or products.

My experience (Fridge Shop)

Defective power pac. Standing in authorised dealer shop and Waeco asks that I return the product to them, after I return to my residence and they will give me a full credit for it.

I have now carried the product over 7.000 kilometres and will soon arrange return of the product.

Certainly satisfied the warranty requirements but have minimised their expenses at the customers expense. Not impressed. Product should have been left at authorised dealer for Waeco to arrange return and immediate credit to my CC.

Be aware that if you travel with a Waeco product and you need to make a warranty claim be sure to carry your proof of purchase and be able to ring Waeco at your expense.

My not so positive experience.

Paul

Bought a 110L last year, seal was a little sus, rang them and they arganised for me to pick one up in Montrose 10 mins from home. Runs perfectly as far as I'm concerned. Very happy with my dealings.

Just to be boring.....

I bought a CF80 from them last November with a bonus 15 thermo fridge for $980 plus a "whopping" LOL $10 delivery to Melbourne. CF80 had a few marks on it and has performed faultlessly.

The hinges broke on the little thermo cooler. They apparently do not keep hinges as spare parts, I thought "this is not good". They removed some hinges from one that was not working and sent them dowm to my nearsest supplier in Melbourne. And the cost? "Thanks for coming Sir, have a fine day".

Great company to deal with.

I have bought some accessories from them. I was suprised that the invoice was directly from Waeco and that the stuff was brand new. Then I sniffed around the site a bit more and it became apparent that it is effectively Waeco's direct to the public arm. I have my suspicions about how secondhand/refurbished a lot of their stock is - they of course have to describe everything as such to avoid getting offside with retailers.

Would definitely use them again.

Bought an 80litre from Fridgeshop - died after 2 weeks (gas leak), they authorised immediate repairs. Picked it up a couple of weeks later but it died again. Rang them and they asked if I could return it (from Brisbane so no real problem). Took it back and had it replaced on the spot with no dramas. Went back 6 months later to buy something else and told them the cord which holds the lid open was broken and could I purchase a new one. They stated 'it still under warranty' and I was given a new cord on the spot.
No complaints with the service I have received and the replacement fridge has not missed a beat
