Thinking of upgrading oe suspension on terracan. Trek & Tow for $2000 seems a bit steep. Tough dog offers kit for about half this which gives a useful lift of 40mm . Can raising suspension cause any long term problems to drivetrain. Would appreciate anybodies experiences or opinions on subject.

Chats,

I had my Jerrycan lifted by TJM, got 45mm all over. It handles a lot better as well. 4 shockers, 2 rear springs, tweak up the T bars and modify the bump stops. $900. Iron Man will have new T bars in a few weeks and I'll get them fitted ASAP.

The issue I had, and it's not uncommon, is that the rear shockers are too wide and foul on a brake line bracket. TJM now recognise this and remove the metal dust covers and replace them (mine were done under warranty at no charge) with rubber boots. Speak to Mike Bentley at TJM H/O in QLD, top bloke.

You'll be very pleasantly surprised with the change.

Cheers,

Jim.

40mm Will not cause you any problems, it’s only when you start to go into the big lift’s you start to cause problems with drive shaft angles, brake lines Etc.
