I got me two $50 vouchers as a payoff from these people who play with their public.

What should I buy?

Shares?

Shares in Repco??? Maybe wait a little bit when they release to the market the ASX notice that the ACCC is investigating their business practices then you may find a buying opportunity when the ar$e falls out of the stock.

Then again do you really want to invest in a company that treats its customers in such a fashion.

Possibly not a good prospect for long term growth on that basis?

What was the value of the 'item' they ran out of? $1000? Ask them(politely) if you can buy something worth that amount or if their vouchers can be used at another auto stores. How about all the posts here and correspondence with the company faxed to their head office with a footnote of how many visits there are to this site?

I don't think so, i've only been on one trip so far the one to Lake Lyell, every trip on the calender clashes with our planed trips so far.

I',m trying to get to the Shoalhaven river trip and or the Madmans one, might see you at them maybe.

Kev only lives 5 min down the road from me.

Ah! OK

There certainly are a lot of trips planned - it'd be easy to have this number conflict with other plans.

We'll most likely be going on the Madmans Territory weekend, and will definitely be going on the October H/Country 5-day trip, plus the big 13-day one in December.

We'll see you out there... :)

Cheers
Chris

Yeah - there you go Gary :)

I don't know..... but I suspect that a$$es have been kicked big time within the company, and I know for a fact that they themselves (higher up in the company) rang the ACCC that morning to lodge a defensive call because they realised that they'd made a huge mistake and knew the backlash was coming.

I basically think that Repco is OK - as a company - and they've learned from their error. I just hope that they don't try it on again at a later date - then they wouldn't be worth buying shares from.....

I know the sale was pporly handled & there has been a heap of feedback on this site. I didn't jump up & down at the sales staff, I just calmly said, I know this isn't your fault, can I please have the name & phone number for your state manager. He gave it, I rang & the guy was very quick to say he'll see what he can do. After a week, (& 2 followup calls), he explained he was unable to get a hold a a portable DVD player for me but offered me a Blaupunkt DVD & Blaupunkt monitor for the $99- if I wanted. I said yes. Rang another car audio place to see if they sold this and he told me he could sell me the package fo a little over $1,000- without installation. I'm pretty happy with this result I have to say. Never had to yell at anyone or get abusive. Yes I know there will be some of you that say "thats fine for you but what about everyone else?", well life isn't fair. I'm happy to sell my 99 Challenger (with DVD player) for your 2003 Patrol without.
