Some family members and I are visiting this area in October and I am wondering if
the Loop Track is ok for a 2wd because we need to take one for all our fellow travellers.
I have 4wd and I'm wondering if I could snatch the 2wd through any (if any) difficult spots without any dramas.

Mad Dog's right. The main reason for that, of course, is that
the loop's closed at the slightest hint of rain. Wouldn't want to do it in a 2WD after two days of downpour...
The same doesn't apply though for the access roads to Mungo NP. They're not usually closed in the wet but pretty much impassable for a 2WD, so keep that in mind. I've been to Mungo in conditions that a Subaru Forester, let alone a 2WD, would have got bogged in.
