Im deciding whether to purchase the above type vehicle. Im looking at one now that has about 240k's on it and is in great condition. It is LPG/Pertrol and I know Nissan running gear is great and reliable but I would appreciate some feedback regarding the motor as I am not familiar with it. Has it got good power and torque, how does it go on fuel, how many k's can these motors generally do?????????
Thankyou All,
Gordon

Hi
Gordon,
The bottom ends are indestructable. The only problem can be the head. Watch for
water blowby in the overflow bottle and bubbles in the radiator. The driveline, especially the manuals are very strong. We just completed a 7500 trip to the Alice, and we averaged around 28/100 on gas and 22/100 on petrol. Normal driving to and from work I get aroung 450K from 100 lt . I don't drive it nicely though. I have the carby version which is a bit more thirsty especially on petrol. They are a fantastic strong reliable unit but can be a little slow towing the van on hills. We were passed by a kombi towing a trailer which was very frustrating as it was a flower power kombi at that!!!!!!!!!!!
All in all we love ours as we also do a bit of 4WDing in the
VIC high country and the thing will go anywhere.
Regards, Glenn
