Hi,
Any ideas on how to tighten the standard tray side latches? The ones you rotate 180 deg to tighten onto the adjacent tray side lug.
Mine has become a little loose.

If they are the ones I am thinking of, you just need to tighten the only nut on them- Its generally a nyloc nut. If you have already tightened it to the end of the thread, you will need to grab yourself some new springs- try a wreckers.

No nuts on this one, it's a sealed unit.

aah- those
I know most older beatup hiluxes with them are really tight to move, but I have always put that down to them being bent out of shape. Maybe some delicate work with a decent hammer on the catch, not the handle could bend it enough to keep it all tight. The other thing is maybe something to widen the catch- I was thinking gaffa tape, but thats not quite a long term solution.
"If it cant be fixed with a hammer, its not worth fixing" and if that doesnt apply, get a bigger hammer.

If it's the type I think it is, run a small bead of weld along the edge of the quarter moon shaped male bit. Rus.
