Steve,

I haven't tried these guys but here is somewhere to start. http://www.expansys.com.au/other.asp?cat=GPS&man=TOMTO
I was led to believe that is was just a matter of putting in a new sd card with aussie maps and job was done when going from one country to another.

I will have to learn how to get a link going one of these days :-)))

cheers Trevor.

Steve,

If all else fails try Johnny Appleseed for info, what they didn't know about GPS wasn't worth knowing. They are on the net and have 3 stores I think (defineately 1 in Brissy).

Cheers Trevor.

DMECH, how do you find your Garmin street pilot c320, are you happy with it, do you find the screen to small?
Does the map it comes with cover minor roads and tracks in australia?
Is it detailed for country towns?
And whats the battery life like?

I ask because I recently put up a post on gps and am wondering wich way to go, either one similar to yours or a pda unit.

Thanks Mate,

Babs.

Neither has tracks. You want to go bush you have to look at a Magellan with their software or you get a PDA with OziCE and natmap rastermaps and do the deed that way. Ask this site for prices on OziCE, rastermaps and GPS to suit the PDA.
