G'day all, my 2004 GU (28,000km) appears to have an oil weep on the turbo, I started it yesterday, moved about 50 metres and then lifted the bonnet to checked fluid levels.

I noticed a weep (mist) between the turbines, on the rear (exhaust) turbine housing, about where the shaft goes through the body.

Is this something I need to worry about, or normal until things warm up?

All help appreciated.

Cheers

G'day Bonz, Been to the local Nissan dealer this morning. Not overly helpful, however oil mist disappears after the engine has been running a while. He attitude was, "I'd be worried if it didn't have a bit of oil coming out"?

Hope he's right!

P.G.

Go to another dealer, Bonz is right it could be the begining of the end for that turbo.
Was the first sign of the end of my first turbo at about 45k.

Cheers Trevor.
