I have a Yr2000 100 Series Landcruiser 8 cyl version and have been considering converting to dual fuel. Vehicle is used predominately in the city and for hauling a Haines 5.5m boat with dual axle trailer up and down the NSW central coast and/or occassional beach driving around Nelson Bay ... can anyone help with advice re 100 Series V8 conversions.
I have been told that there is a possible problem with Landcruiser V8 conversions as a number of motors having blown up due to over-revving, seems that the rev limiter is disconnected when lgp conversion completed and motors over-revved leading to them blowing up....is this true ?
Appreciate any feedback, I remember reading a comment from Steve in the July archive (sorry can't find it now) saying he had a 100 series V8 converted, so if you can provide comment Steve thanks.
Regards
Stoney
