Hello all,
My MK Patrol turbo diesel cab chassis needs a suspension upgrade due to sagging. A couple of years ago I saw a mobile guy that was removing a couple of leaves from each pack and fitting supplementary coils. This brought ride height back to standard unsagged height. The salesman was telling me about improved wheel travel, greater comfort and so on, but I havent seen too many of these conversions done. Just wondering if anyone who has experience with this kind of setup (positive or negative) could please share it with me.
Thanks.

Tanka, have had it done on my MQ shorty and a GU Ute, best thing since sliced bread. Much better ride. One minor problem is possible Caster shimmy after it is done, but shims soon fix that. If you need new suspension, it is the best way of doing it for leaf sprung trucks. My two cents worth.

Tanka,

I will be really interested in following this thread as I have for some time time pondered the possibility of putting coils in the front of my 75 series crew cab thus gaining a more comfortable front end with better travel.

Will wait and see what the experts have to say.
