Trekkie
From all accounts this is a great product.
I purchased one prior to
Easter this year and have had some great roasts in the bush.
Last time when putting the Cobb away the next morning I noticed that the base had started to melt and warp (at the top around the air vents). Now I have always followed instructions re heating the heat beads and not leaving the lid on etc when finished
Has anyone experienced similar problems and what are my chances on a warranty claim. Anyone know what a replacement base will cost.

Hi Trekkie,
Sounds like it should be a warranty job so hopefully you won't have to worry about the cost of a base. We have had one for a while now and haven't had any problems with it.
I got there phone number off their website if that helps.
Cobb Australia & NZ Pty Limited

Best of luck.

Hi Trekkie
Give Cobb a ring. I have found their warrantee and after sales service great. They have even rung me back on Saturday evening when I left a message for them

As owner of post 25324 i guess i should provide the closer for it.
After being treated the way I was by Peter Sinclair another Sinclair stepped in for damage control. Brian is a reasonable person who wished to preserve the reputation of his company, an understandable thing. It was getting a bit of a rocketing during this post.
After some email correspondence, he offered to replace my damaged base as a means to close this case out. I declined his offer because I didn't feel it was appropriate to take advantage of his kind offer when I wish to maintain the ability to offer my honest opinion if asked about the Cobb Cooker. Great Product for the backyard.
I have since effected my own repairs and it is serviceable again....
Good luck with it Trekkie
