I have a hilux dual cab ute (2001) which i recently fitted a carry me camper. The hilux has ome leaf springs, torsion bars and shocks + polyair bellows.Problem is when loaded up it feels soft and spongy.Approximate weight is 330kgs for the camper and allow roughly 300kgs for camping gear.
Any ideas?
Thanks stubby

One possibility is your tyres and the pressure you are running in them, since your springs & Torsion bars are aleady beefed up from standard.

If you have large, wide tyres on 15" rims, your movement could all come from the tyres.

If you have a massive ground clearance like you see on some Hiluxes then your centre of gravity is high, and will be much higher when the camper is on. This would also cause your symptoms and make the tyre movement even worse.

Thanks for your reply, the tyres are the standard sr5 size 255/70 r15.I am running the pressures as per the handbook which says for max load:front 28,rear 34

I run 40psi front and back in my Jackaroo all the time on 245/70-16 tyres, 7" rims. This works well - any less and I get tyre wallow.

I would suggest you try 40psi front and back as the first step, and I would run say 30psi in your polyairs since you are virtually fully loaded (I think 35psi is max for the bags)

The good news is that this is a free thing to do and will give you immediate improvement.
