Diet Coke is evil...

Took a couple of days off and headed for a bush retreat. All went well, some(including myself) may say too well. Knocked the fridge thermostat up a couple of notches for the trip home, gets a little warm inside a black canopy... Unpacked to find that the only can of diet coke, on the second level and second row from the fridge element, had exploded. No "real" coke cans(against the element) had exploded, and the one I opened hadn't even begun to ice...

The following shows the horrifying sight which befell me upon arriving home:

Amazingly, the whole top of the can seperated at it's seam... The moral of the story is: There is nothing good about Diet Coke, it is evil personified...!!!

Definitely a product of the devil. You should contact your friendly neighbourhood Exorcist immediately. You did'nt happen to experience strange neck pains at the time did you? :)

Nah ...... I'll only use unleaded in the vehicle thankyou. Premium for the tummy.

Something about women and unleaded beverages... Happy to drink 15 pints of full cream milk with kahlua(sp?) in it though...

Forgot to give you the run down...

Flatmates(not the girl pictured, she's responsible for the make-up) little black dress, flatmates fishnets, specially purchased "smiley" G-string, Doc Martens 10-ups and flatmates bra(not that you can see it) stuffed with explorer socks... Took out first prize in a bad taste party...suprisingly...???

Wombat... Looking back, "Oh dear" is probably an understatement.

Bonz... Not sure who he was, got up the next afternoon and found him staring back at me through the mirror... Pretty scarey stuff really.

We were just up at Wilcania several days ago, and spotted some cheap coke for 65c a can....altho not full strength coke drinkers we grabbed 4 to restock the fridge, one exploded in the fridge, the other 3 were all bumped and burst before they made it to the fridge...so it's not just diet coke that is evil!

But it would appear that you carelessly mistreated your full strength coke prior to getting it to your fridge... I'd say the burst can was pay back for being evil to coke...:-))

I reckon I might stick with plastic bottles from now on, they seem to have a little more give.

Nothing evil about it actually it shows how much better diet coke is.
Here goes the explanation why diet drinks freeze befoe real stuff
diet drinks contain more waterwhich is why they nfreeze easier. real coke is heavy with dissolved suger which like any dissolved substance lowers the freezing point. As the water in the coke begins to freeze it concentrates the sugar levels in the unfrozen portions which further lowers the freezing point

So what you're saying is, real coke is better because it doesn't leave a trail of destruction in your fridge... I had a feeling you'd all agree with me...:-))

The problem here is simple................never risk having any cola in your fridge unless it is premixed with bundy.

As per the post above, you need the extra sugar in rum to lower the freezing point. :-)
Have to remember that one for the next trip for SHMBO.
