be careful as when we were there in Aug 2001 we spoke to a person just south of
well 32 who had just filled up there. They said the meter showed 105 litres and he stated that his tank only held 100 litres. The measuring device was off an overhead tank. Some of these units are not certified to sell fuel through (I have 2 on my own tanks ) I noticed that at
Carnegie H.S. they had the same type of meter. What do you do up there ? If it was in Victoria you would be contravening the law regarding weights and measures. With regard to the
well 23 we found that another persons drum of petrol had the seal on the bung leaking . The seal had looped out at one side and the poor person probably lost 20 litres this was a clear case of neglect as the seal could be clearly seen to have been fitted incorrectly. We took on fuel at
well 23 and were to top up at the community there however there was no one there who could serve us and no one seened to know how long they would be so we went without. I don't think there is any perfect supply just hope for the best.

We used their fuel last year - no problems. Had to wait for a day while the store people were out-bush. Probably best to phone ahead to
check on availability & whether they're planning to be away.
Regarding short-measures - you could always fill 20L jerries first to guage the accuracy of their "pump"!

I was there in October 2002. They now have new diesel tank and bowser and serve unleaded as
well. Ring them to find out about unleaded before you go just in case.
Shop has expanded and there are new accomodation facilities in place. We filled up there ( 5 4wd) and had no problems at all. Cost of diesel was $ 1.80 per litre.

You also have the ability to re fuel at Parnngurr (Cotton Creek), not sure of the number but they are very helpful. Fuel was cheaper than
Well 33 also.
