Hi all,

A group of us previously travelled Googs in the recommended South to North direction. Some of us plus some "newbies" are now contemplating doing it again but in the reverse direction.

The 1st time was interesting but not challenging from a 4wd sense. I understand the dunes are harder from the other way? (he asks hopefully).

Would be interested in comments from anyone who has done it in both directions as to how different it is. We will be a party of 4 in 2 vehicles and 2 of the 4 did the 1st trip (the owners of both vehicles).

We also hope to get permission to travel on the station track from Childara rockhole to Lake Everard Station. Can anyone give advice on what this track is like?

Thanks in advance

Trevor

Trevor we travelled north to south on Googs Track in August, we found this way to be alot smoother run up at the dunes as most people don't let there tyres down enough on the way north resulting in a bumpy run up.
We also was towing a camper trailer and on our own, let the car (05 hilux) down to 17psi and trailer to 12psi and did all dunes in high range with no second goes.
I think its the best way to do the run and next time would like to do the Everad station run.
