Well like the question says how many ks does your 4by rack up why and where?
My first 4by was a camper van and racked up 63,000k in 4 years at about 16k a year. It wasnt used for town running much as I used my bike alot and a good percentage of those ks were put on in one trip (14k) and travelling back and forwards to Leinster. The rest was mostly travel in the south of WA.
My current 4by has clocked up the miserly total of 10,000k in 9 months but fortunatly 90% of that has been exploring locally.
My 4bys also do all the 2wd travel as I reckon it is cheaper to upkeep one 4by than 2 vehicles

In 2 years and 4 months I've clocked up 83,000km. Majority of that revolves around commuting to work, 12,000km was spent going to/in, around and home from
Darwin. A lot of time between Toolangi, high country and our property in central Vic.

Robyn uses it all week for work, shopping, driving me around when I drink etc.
We live in

Hi Davoe,
My L/C is 1991 vintage Turbo diesel currently on the clock 468,904 Km.
More than 50% has been off road.
I think it will be good for another 3-400,000
Cheers

Too many. 60k klms since September last year. I usually sell after 3 years at 250k klms, hard to get a good price for an immaculate, meticulously maintained vehicle that goes over the pits every 6 months. People tend to prefer low milage town vehicles even though they may seldom even get up to proper operating temps on short trips. Cheers Rob

Always a toughie do you get a low milaege mums taxi or something with higher country
miles? With a 3 year old vehicle do you try and get 3 year old prices (immpossable) or 10 - 15 year old prices (avge 15 -20k a year) ? or is it all to hard for buyers and it all goes against you
Using the 4bys for work can you write much off on tax? (depreciation etc)or is it still an expensive part of your operation?

Got my new fully kitted out 100 series a fortnight ago after writing the last one off (only 6 weeks after I bought THAT one!). Did 2,357km's throughout the eastern and northen wheatbelt of WA in the first 6 days of ownership.
Went for a shoot and then 4x4'ing at Gnangara on the way home today.
Off to Brunswick
Junction for plenty of muddy 4x4'ing and
camping next weekend.
I spend a lot of time in both my 4x4's for work and
recreation too. Love it.

Well in the last 12 months my Triton has clocked up a total of 3000 k`s...Being in and out of hospital with operations on my leg and foot and then subsequently months in plaster and fibreglass casts has meant I can`t drive. The only time the Triton has been used is with someone else driving to take me to the dr.. apart from that she just sits in the shed

I'm averaging close 800km/wk in my 120 Prado. Just over 50k in 16 months since new. Mixed driving, although Hwy accounts for most K's.

not much these days I'm afraid but I was averaging 40K per year whilst in the
Pilbara but that was largely due to vast distances between everywhere so a fair bit of black stuff involved.
