We have tried these relays and found they fail plus the cut in voltage is to high.
Your weaco(waeco)would'nt use anymore than the rest.

no difference between Waeco and Engel
we repair all makes 12 v chest fridges
insulation power consumption all the same all break
no reason to pay massive penalty charged by Engel for no more
The 42 litre Wild Country fridge from Rays or Supercheap beats both at 50% cheaper

did you hear about the chap that wasn't allowed into a nightclub 'cause he didn't have a tie on?. He went to his car and pulled out the jumper leads and tied them around his neck, went back to the nightclub and the doorman said "OK, I'll let you in but don't start anything!". Rus.

DodgeDiesel,
Can you please explain your reason why you believe; "the 42 litre Wild Country fridge from Rays or Supercheap beats both" without using the price as any measure of quality, either good or bad :-)
What compressor is used in the 'Wild Country' fridge ?

A Waeco 110 is a big fridge that draws a lot of power (I've got an 80).
It could easily flatten two batteries in a weekend. Turned up high, in warm weather, opened regularly, putting in warm beer etc, it has the capability to use 80 amps plus per 24 hours.
Cheers,
Jim.

My understanding (as indicated by a salesman) was that the Waeco CF 80 had a cut off that wouldn't let it completely drain the battery? I plan on buying one this weekend and was really sold on this feature....
Is this true?

unless you have substantial power to run a CF80 suggest you look at a smaller size fridge like a 40 litre. A Waeco CF80 takes a whopping 85 amps a day. Our family has no trouble managing with a 40 litre fridge.

What's this mines "BIGGER" than yours Bulls**t ??
It doesn't matter what brand or size fridge you have as long as it has decent insulation
is compressor driven AND as far as current draw IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU USE IT ( Tropical or Tassie) AND HOW MANY "BLOODY TIMES" YOU OPEN IT !!!!!
I have been away heaps of times with groups of people with the same type of fridges as descibed above different brand names the only ones that had problems ie flat batteries were the families that were using them like there fridges at home
opening and closing at will - Hello ?????
Use common sense, at the end of the day you have a 12 volt battery trying to live up to a fridge powered at home that has endless power ???
Buy the way we have a 85 ltr Evercool for two people and wouldn't be without it !!
ALWAYS HAVE COLD DRINKS AND "ICE"
SIZE IS A PERSONNAL THING !!!
Cheers All
