For those who met Maggot on Monday yesterday he took his first fly. Today he has taken sevral more and sat on the roof of the house for awhile. Soon he will fly the nest so to speak and move out of home for good.
I just wish all the kids would go that quick.

My daughter hasn't stopped talking about Maggot since Monday, she got a real thrill out of being able to pat and hold the little guy.

He is now sleeping in a tree by the back door at night, he comes down in the morning for breakfast of worms & slaters. He then flys back up into the trees around the house where he has been adopted by several other maggies who then feed him through the day.
We were concerned the others may of attacked him as he was a stranger but they are looking after him. He has about 3 birds taking in turns to feed him.
Pretty good chance he will survive now.
