I am contemplating a curent shape GU, but was hoping to transfer some of the bells and whistles across.. can any tell me if my ARB Roof rack, Side steps, Tow bar and Winch bull Bar will fit the new model.. As far as I can see, it looks like the body is the same shape just different guards but I could be wrong..

Bullbar won't fit. Roof rack should be ok.
Rear bumper is different, but towbar maybe ok..Side steps are standard.

Cheers

I have just transfered a roof rack from the previous model to the recent without any problems.

I think you will find the bullbar will fit but the wings don't line up properly with the flairs. ARB apparently have had production probs with a bar for the current patrol and as such are still fitting the series 3 bar. A friend bought a new patrol the other month and this was the case then. It still looks ok though.

G'day Coyote,
I just did that excercise, roofrack no go, roof is narrower on the GU, tow bar yes, bull bar no, everything about the body, including the positioning on the chassis is different on the GU.

ARB roofrack should fit - it's adjustable for width.

Coyote
FYI
I'm in the process of buying a new GU also (went down today in fact). I discovered they have 17 inch wheels so went to Bob Janes and was told that there is no tyre that size on the market that has an off-road pattern eg All Terrain.
Better check it out coz the tyres they come with are strictly on-road.

Just sold my ARB roof rack (was on a Series II GU) to a guy with a Series IV.
Roofrack went across without any adjustment required.
