Hi all,
I have a new Waeco CF25 and have been testing it out in the shed hooked up directly to a large deep cycle battery. (fridge has been tested by an Auto elec and is good) I'm currently only getting 14 hour's from the fridge before the error light comes on for low voltage (set on low), The fridge is being run on the highest setting (without the turbo funtion on). The reason I'm asking if this is normal is because I have an Engel 39 litre and on the same battery on the highest setting it goes for close to double the time.

Chris,
stick an AMP meter on it and see what current its drawing on your settings and then with the turbo function.
Do the same with your bigger Engle and compare the two.
How old is the battery and is it fully charged correctly?

Hi Guzzi

the Battery is about 12 months old (deep cycle), but my first thought was that it was buggered so that's why I had it tested, it was also fully charged by the Auto Elec before it was given back to me.

because the engel has no low voltage cut out, it is possible the battery is just taken lower before the engel will cut out...

other than that though, have no suggestions, my waeco has been left on freeze over four days beforee flattening a battery with maybe 2 hours of driving in between.

have you checked what voltage the battery is left at after each fridge cuts out???
