We've got it in our head, that a couple years break roaming round Australia would do us the world of good. Being both under 30, we are nervous about picking up enough work around the place, have heard all about fruit picking work and the like, but can't seem to find the sources (internet) displaying the work available. Does anyone know where we can find out more info, or have any advice? Also, are there many people out there our age doing the same, would love to hear from people our age doing what we are dreaming of.

OOps forgot to add

Yes I know it states grey nomads but give it a try anyway. I don't think they'll practise reverse age discrimination :)

Get on to jobsearch.gov [google will do it for you] and have a look at harvest trail.
Or Workabout who have lots of harvest type jobs all over Australia
Costs about $25-30 a year to be a member and is well worth it.

Leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but photos

Wunder just go into any "backpackers" accomodation office and you will get a truck load of brochures from them about all different types of work, not only fruit picking, which is the pits anyway.
