Hi me hearty's

I know that this is not really a four wheel drive story, but if you are looking to get your 8 cents ( or is it more now muddy?) worth of ABC on Sunday, then I would recommend this show. "Killers in Eden".

I read the book while staying in Eden and visited the whaling station on the Kiah Inlet. I sat back and fished on the bank( a dolphin came into the inlet not five metres from the sand bar) and I imagined what it must have been like on the seas in the black of night chasing and harpooning whales. Is a fabulous story and the program has been recommended. It is an incredible tale. Watching the story will certainly bring to life a visit you might have to the old Davidson whaling station on the Kiah inlet near Eden.

Heard the description of this doco on the relationship between the Whalers and the Killer whales and how it worked and why it eventually broke down. I will have to get the housemate to tape it. Is it one doco or is it a mini seroies??

Hey Big Kidz - we watched it. Just got back from Mt Isa after several days - had to go x-ray/dentist/anyone - dislocated my jaw! Truly, truly whilst eating an apple and reading The Australian at 5:45 p.m. at the table just after the mail came in. Just goes to show how dangerous the print media can be. Nice x-ray. Good shopping, one hat, one new linen dress, two pairs of shoes and some jewellery, and the usual 'boy' things - nuts, bolts, new windows, spotties for MY car (at long last). Ian's gone fishing today and I've got a new library book - just as well - two campers only. Day is glorious - about 23 and no wind (makes a change from last week when we got 45.5 and foul). How's the tiddliewinks?

Hi Ruth and Ian
Great to see you are sorta well, Glenda had a similar experience a few weeks ago, smashing her face on the bathroom floor but all is sorta well again.
Sounds like the pressure is off with only 2 campers. Great to hear from you again, coming down fishing this year?
Take care, Pesty

Hey Mr and Mrs Pesty - thought you might have been around when I noticed your Post about some sort of 'boy' talk about cars. Poor Glenda - whaddaya do that for Pesty???!! Everyone assumes the husband did it, eh? Ian only caught 3 - got two more campers since this a.m. - rushed I am, thank goodness for Austar and the cooking channels. This time I hope we do get to go fishing - be here all summer and wanting to chase KGWhiting at Smokey in March - couldn't this year because Easter was so early and the season started with big Conference here then - seems to have been going ever since. When I got back on Saturday arvo - Cocka and Mrs Cocka were here, on their way back from the Gulf.
How are your little tiddlywinks - growing a million miles an hour I bet.
Nice to talk to you - got a bit more time now so will be in touch a bit more. Caught a few furry things - and found a little baby bunny/hare in my petunias when watering them last week. Cutest little ginger thing - Mr Kitty didn't know it was supposed to be his dinner!!

Hi Ruth,

Pretty rough that you had a dislocated jaw - I have a mental image of you in the car all the way to Mount Isa with an 'O' sign. Mouth wide open and unable to close it like an 'O'. If it has been 45 degrees - you might have had a 'Q' sign - Mouth wide open with the tongue hanging limply out!!

We are planning to be up your way in mid June next year. Had such a great time last trip we would love to come back and see you. Hope you can have another Diamantina flood for us in about April - love those yabbies etc.

Our kids are great - we love getting them out of the big smoke and getting em dirty and meeting lots of different people.

All the best to you and Ian.

Andrew
