I have a 2004 grand Cherokee Overland which rolls and wallows more than I would like. Has anyone overcome the problem and how?
I am looking at a 2'' lift kit with polyairs, any suggestions!

Ah... the "Overland".

I can't see what people talk about when they mention Grand Cherokee's "wallowing" because I have the "Laredo" - which already comes into the country with the "UpCountry" suspension which isn't as soft as the Overlands off the shelf.

Instant fix - OME "Heavy Duty" kit from ARB. I also have it it mine now and although it only provides a few mm (10-25) of lift as such, it does totally sort out the soft ride. I love mine and it now handles way better than our two GQ Patrols - which are good handlers in their own right.

Don't bother with air suspension unless you intend to tow heavy trailers.

One more thing....

The Grand Cherokee's suspension IS softer than most - but that also works to your advantage on rough roads and off-road. It has a fair amount of rubbery "give" in it - but if you learn to trust it it will act like a European car on-road - i.e. it will roll only so far, and then stablise to let you push around a corner pretty hard.

If you want to go with a more conservative ride then go the OME kit.

That’s just norm for all American 4WD’s, all there suspension is way to soft, Lovells do a 2-inch lift them, after sprig settle you end up with about 45mm

You can not get the 2-inch lift with Raised height Heavy-duty sprigs but, the 2-inch lift is with Raised Height sprigs only, however you can get the standard hight in sprigs Heavy-duty.

Two inches is probably going a bit high without changing the CV-equipped front driveshaft to a double-cardan unit. Some pretty sever driveline vibrations happen on WG/WJ Grands if these areas aren't addressed at the same time as the lift. Given that WJ's are usually 4.7V8's (or CRD's with 400nm) - they have a fair whack of power and torque to send through the couplings - and any angle at all causes some pretty uncomfortable shakes.

People who own them are generally happy with them as "tourers" rather than as capable of doing gnarly rocks and stuff. As such, generally 25mm of lift acheived on the Overland and Limited models (which arrive lower than the Laredo in our country) and a good set of 245/75-16 tyres are a good compromise.
