Does anybody know how to remove the oil filter from Toyota Surf 2.7 diesel.
We can un-screw it but can not take it out without removing the turbo
Thanks

Have you tried to take it it out from under the vehicle?

Never done one myself but have heard that its near impossible without unbolting something. On my 4 Runner Ive just fitted a Turbo and now the only way to get the filter in and out is to cut a small section of inner guard away.

Just thought I would mention this I have recently put a factory(surf) turbo on my 4runner,still have original oil filter adaptor.A Z9 oil filter just fits between chassis and inner guard without removing or cutting anything.Peter.

John,

there is a metal flap held on by 4 small bolts under the wheel arch. Look about the top of tyre level. It took me ages to find the B thing.

And I've found that an empty ice cream bucket cut in half held under the filter as you unscrew it will reduce the spillage.
