I found a "return to centre" steering damper on e-bay (4580902014) for $165.
It sounds all good but has anybody fitted one of those?
cheers

I put a 4 way return to centre dampener on my 80 series and haven't really noticed any difference but it is there now so it is all good.

I think from memory it cost around $150 and was $20 to have it fitted... I tried to do it myself but it was an absolute pain to get the bolts out from the original one so I think the $20 was a worthwhile investment.

Cheers

I don't want to publicly bag the company, but they are mentioned above.
Had one of theirs fitted for roughly 8 thousand k's, till the spring broke in two.
No real danger, just an annoying rattle till it was removed.
Would post pics as I still have it but I am currently overseas.
Not worth the money IMHO, but they do look cool, maybe others are decent quality.

Ive had a return to centre and took it off quick smart...you cant adjust it for all roads.... and you find yourself always correcting the spring back a little as the camber changes on the roads travelled...PITA
