Hi all,
Has anyone had experience with portable ice makers, the sort that need no main wiring or plumbing? They deliver 12-15kg of ice blocks per 24hrs. We are taking off on our annual trek down the West coast in the van and thought it would be nice to have fresh ice blocks in the drinks at night.

Hi Gee Tee, You are looking for an icemaker that can produce 12-15 kg a day. Gee mate you must like that cold stuff a lot. I hope you find the one you are looking for, but I think they would consume a fair bit on power. Anyway I wish you the best of luck with it.
Cheers: Heinz

Why not use the Glad Ice Cube - easy release bags 192 ice cubes from 8 bags. We used them on our 3 month trip earlier this year. Worked great just fill put in the freezer section of frig - would mould to the spaces available and ice for the scotch each night.
Cheers
